About this article
Outline
Full of stars and tidal waves, spend your quality time here.
This RV park is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from Travellers Autobarn Japan by expressway and 2 hours by public road.
This RV park faces one of the best beaches in Ibaraki, called the Naples of the East, and is cool by the sea, making it comfortable from spring to winter.
It is a very good first spot for a summer resort tour in hot Japan, considering the variety of nearby facilities, events, and locations.
Nearby is the Oarai Ferry Terminal, which can take you to Hokkaido.
A five-minute drive away is one of the largest shopping malls in Japan, where you can buy everything from camping equipment to foodstuffs.
The Japan Meat supermarket is one of the best places to buy delicious Japanese food at a lower price than any other supermarket in Japan. You can also barbecue at this RV park, so you can buy delicious Japanese beef at a low price and spend a fun day at the BBQ or swimming in the ocean!
Also, when you try to long travel, you will inevitably end up with a lot of luggage.
If this is the case, you will have to take buses, planes, and trains with a lot of luggage before coming to Japan, which makes you exhausted and your trip hindered.
If you are planning to travel to the Tohoku region or Hokkaido by ferry, please visit this RV park to buy everything you need for your trip at the shopping mall and reduce the amount of luggage you need to carry on your trip.
Once you board the ferry, you will spend about 18 hours on the sea, so before boarding the ferry, you can have a BBQ or swim in the sea to get your spirits up, get ready for your trip at dusk, and at night, drink brandy while watching the soothing sound of waves and star-filled sky, and wait for the ferry the next day.
Isn’t that the best way to start your trip?
The owner of the RV park, Mr. Isozaki, will assist you with your trip, and Travellers Autobarn Japan also collects garbage, so please consider doing so.
Attractions surrounding this RV Park
National Hitachi Seaside Park has been selected as one of the most beautiful places to see before you die, with its seasonal flowers in full bloom.
The Nakaminato Fish Market will satisfy even the most discerning seafood connoisseurs.
One of the best beaches in Ibaraki called the Naples of the Orient, where you can enjoy swimming and fishing.
Events with historical value and pop-up events
There are many attractions and events in the area that will keep you busy for a whole day!
Here we introduce some of them.
Large shopping mall
Japan meat
As I have already said Japan meat has a lot of fresh vegetables, meat, and fish, and they offer very reasonable prices.
Hence, you can enjoy Japanese food culture by buying what you want to eat in Japan meat at a considerable price.
Joyful Honda
In this facility, you can find variables goods from daily goods to camp goods.
It means that you don’t have to bring camp and daily goods from your country and make your baggage lighter than you expected.
In addition, Joyful Honda has been known as a good vendor offering good quality goods at low prices by Japanese.
Costco
If you are a member of Costco outside of Japan, you can use the membership card in Japan.
It means you can use Familiar shopping malls, and buy familiar drinks, food, and goods even in Japan.
The above shopping malls must make your travel more comfortable!
Ajigaura Onsen Nozomi
This hot spring is five minutes drive from RV park land port Ajigaura.
The characteristics of this hot spring are “the Thickness of Hot Spring Composition” and “Ease of warming”.
The amount of ingredients is more than 26 times the standard amount of ingredients recognized as a “hot spring” or “sanatorium spring”.
It causes osmotic pressure increases, and the hot spring ingredients soak into the body more easily as well.
In addition, Nozomi is a Sodium chloride spring that prevents sweat from evaporating, which keeps our temperature hot even after going out from Hotspring.
If you take a bath in the evening, the warmth will last long after you get under the covers at bedtime, and you can sleep well at night.
Nakaminato Fish Market
It is one of the leading tourist markets in Japan, featuring seafood freshly landed at the adjacent port of Nakaminato.
A million tourists visit here every year and enjoy eating fresh fish on the spot.
If you consider yourself a challenger, I suggest you eat raw oysters.
It would be quite rare in Japan to find a facility where raw oysters can be faced on the spot and eaten right then and there.
At the sushi restaurant inside the market, you can enjoy large pieces of fresh sushi.
Hence, don’t worry if you are not a challenger. There are many places you can eat Japanese food except fish like Takoyaki.
Aqua world Oarai
One of the largest aquariums in Japan, visited by one million people every year.
There are 8 areas, and each area has different themes, so you can enjoy not only the beautiful view that 20,000 species create but also the scientific area.
The good thing about this aquarium is that it can be enjoyed by men and women of all ages.

National Hitachi Seaside Park
Within the park which covers an area of approximately 215 hectares, there are large-scale flower gardens at various locations, where visitors can enjoy
the seasonal flowers and plants: nemophila, narcissus, and tulips in spring, roses in early summer, zinnias and sunflowers in summer,
and kochia (broomrape) leaves and cosmos in autumn.
As I have already said, this park has been selected as one of the most beautiful places to see before you die.
Especially, I would like you to visit here in spring to see Nemophila.
Saka-tsura-Isosaki Shrine
This shrine has a long history and is said it was built in 856.
The deity enshrined at this shrine is believed to provide maritime safety and a great catch of fish.
So, if you go to Hokkaido I suggest you pray for maritime safety in this shrine and get on the ferry forward to Hokkaido.
