Minimum rental periods vary depending on the season and travel dates, typically ranging from 4 to 10 days. For the best campervan experience, we recommend traveling for two weeks or longer, allowing you to explore Japan more comfortably and at your own pace.
Yes, we do. For rentals of 21 days or longer, discounts of up to 30% are automatically applied. The discounted rate will be shown at the time of booking, so you can book with confidence.
We accept major credit cards and online payment methods for campervan rentals. Full payment details will be provided during the booking process.
Please note that a valid credit card may be required for the security deposit at the time of pickup.
A 3.6% card processing fee applies to all card payments.
All pick-ups are between 10 am to 4 pm and all drop-offs are between 9 am to 3 pm.
Holders of Swiss, German, French, Belgian, Monaco and Taiwanese licenses must carry the “Japanese translation” at the same time as the original of the relevant license. In Germany you can contact ADAC to organise the translation. For Swiss, French, Belgian, Monaco and Taiwanese you please must organise the translation yourself or we can organise for you for a fee of ￥10,000.
Anyone with driver’s license issued in a country other than the above, please carry your international driver’s license based on the 1949 Geneva Road Convention. It is valid for one year from the date of issue. More info here.
Everyone must also carry their passport.
Please do not forget to bring both your original driver’s license and international driving permit with you. (A copy or data of either are not valid for you to drive in Japan.)

To get to our depot we advise you to take a Taxi from Narita Aiport.

We offer three levels of insurance coverage. For added peace of mind during your trip, we recommend Protection Plus (¥3,000 per day), which reduces your financial liability in the event of accidental damage. Please click the link below for full details of each coverage option.

Yes, unlimited mileage is included with all campervan rentals, so you can travel around Japan without worrying about extra distance charges.
It depends on your vehicle type:
For KUGA and CHUBBY: Provided automatically for a mandatory one-off fee of ¥4,000/rental (includes sheets, sleeping bags, pillows, and cooking materials).
For Station Wagon: Not included. Cooking materials and sleeping gear are optional.
Unfortunately pets are not allowed in any vehicles with us. Renter is fully responsible for all damages and a minimum fee of ￥25,000 depending the condition for cleaning/deodorizing applies.
No. In Japan, public restrooms are everywhere, and public parking lots and roadside stations often have restrooms, and they are very clean. If you need to use the restroom while traveling, you can stop at a convenience store or service parking lot to use a clean restroom. You will have no difficulty finding a convenience store or such a location.
Baby seat (From 6 months -4 years): Must be secured in a baby seat on passenger seat. Baby must be older than 6 months.
Booster seat (up to 140cm): Must be secured in a booster seat.
KUGA: Microwave, Fridge, 2 Gas cookers, Sink, USB port, Solar panel, and Lights.
CHUBBY: 1 Gas cooker, Sink, USB port, Lights, and an Ice box.
For both models: Bedding (sleeping bags/pillows/towels) and cooking equipment are included as a mandatory fixed pack (¥4,000/rental).
Garbage cans are not placed on the roads, so garbage must be disposed of little by little. If you accumulate trash, it will be very difficult to dispose of it. You can dump your trash at campgrounds, RV parks, and service areas, so please do so as often as possible.
Yes. Selected campervans are equipped with a portable air conditioner that can be used when parked.
Our Toyota Hiace campervans are regularly inspected and maintained for your safety. If a breakdown does occur, we provide 24/7 roadside assistance, including towing, battery support, flat tyre assistance, and lockout service. Simply contact our team, and we’ll be happy to help.
Our campervans are not equipped with an FF heater. However, we provide an electric blanket and a warm winter sleeping bag, so you can stay warm and comfortable while sleeping during your winter trip.
An ETC card is used to pay highway tolls automatically in Japan. It allows you to pass through ETC toll gates without stopping, making your road trip faster, easier, and more convenient.
We highly recommend renting an ETC card, especially if you plan to travel long distances or use expressways frequently during your trip.
It’s a great place for a campervan road trip in all seasons. April, with its beautiful cherry blossoms, is warm and pleasant; May, October, and November are especially pleasant in the car, with temperatures neither too high nor too low. In April, May, September October, and November, temperatures are neither too high nor too low, so you will feel especially comfortable in your car. In particular, September to November is best time of year because of the relatively large number of sunny days and beautiful autumn foliage. In summer, you can enjoy the natural coolness of the mountains at high altitudes. However, since the temperature does not drop even at night in summer, be careful where you go, such as staying at campgrounds near high elevation areas.

Our vehicles are 2WD and not equipped with cold-weather specifications, so extremely low temperatures and heavy snowfall may cause issues such as reduced battery performance or engine problems.
Travel to Hokkaido during winter is strictly prohibited. Any accidents, breakdowns, towing, recovery, or repair costs resulting from driving in heavy-snow areas will be the customer’s responsibility and may not be covered by insurance.
If you wish to visit a ski resort, you may travel to 2WD-accessible resorts near Tokyo, provided that weather and road conditions are suitable and you accept responsibility for winter driving.

Japan can be hot and humid in summer, but these tips will help you stay comfortable:
- Camp at higher elevations (around 1,000m or above), where temperatures are cooler.
- Choose a campsite with good airflow and use a fan.
- Open the windows and use a mosquito net to enjoy fresh air while keeping insects out.
- Air-conditioned vehicles are available for an additional fee. If you would like one, please let us know as early as possible, as availability is limited.
