Easy Cooking Ideas on your Road Trip in Japan

 

 ① Tuna Cucumber Mayo Sandwich

When you want to make a quick breakfast or lunch, cooking without fire is easy and recommended. If you keep ingredients  in the refrigerator, you can just sandwich them between bread and have them ready to go. If you use vegetables and seasonings unique to Japan, It will be even more fun!  To enjoy your time during the day, let’s make lunch as quick and tasty as possible!

Ingredients for 2 people:

Bread x4 slices
Canned tuna in oil x2
Cucumber x1
Mayonnaise some
Black pepper some

How to Make:

1.Cut cucumber into thin slices and place in a bowl.
2.Add 2 cans of tuna and mix.
3.Add some Mayonaise and Black Pepper and mix.
4.Place the filling on the bread, press it with another bread, cut and serve!

 

②  Pancakes with Grilled Apples

Making Pancakes are not difficult in Campervans. How about adding sweet grilled apples on the side?

Ingredients for 2 people:

Pancake mix 1pack
Milk
Butter
………………………………..
Apple x1
Coconut oil
………………………………..
Walnut
Cinnamon powder
Honey

How to Make:

1.Add milk to pancake mix and mix well.
2.Melt butter in a frying pan, add pancake mix and cook well on both sides.                                                  3.Cut the apples into pieces and fry them well in the pan with coconut oil.                                                      4.When ready to serve, top with crushed walnuts, cinnamon powder and honey.

 

③  Tempura Udon

One of Japanese Traditional Noodle dishes that continue to be enjoyed by everyone, Udon, topped with Tempura. It can be made so easily with Super Market items.

Ingredients for 2 people:

Udon Noodle x2
Tempura
Onsen Egg (hot spring soft boiled egg)   x2
Nori (Dried Cut Seaweed)

Soup:
Water (hot/cold)
Mentsuyu (Udon Soup Base)
Chopped Green Onion

How to Make:

1.Boil water in a pot and cook Udon Noodle for a couple of minutes.
2.Put Mentsuyu in a Bowl,  pour some hot/cold water until your desired flavor and stir.
3.Sprinkle green onions on top of the soup.
4.Remove Udon Noodles from the pot and place on a dish.
5.Top with Tempura, Onsen Egg, Nori.
6.You can either dip the Udon in the soup or Pour the soup over the Udon.
